Your package includes a complimentary discovery call, in-home consultation and professional field measurements, custom kitchen space planning and cabinetry layout, cabinet style, finish and hardware selections, countertop and backsplash recommendations, detailed floor plans and elevations, photorealistic 3D renderings, curated material and product specifications, two rounds of design revisions, and a final design package ready for contractor pricing and implementation. Virtual kitchen design is also available for clients outside our Central Pennsylvania service area.

No, and that's intentional. Patina Design Co is a design-only interior design consultancy. We specify everything and provide you with a complete sourcing guide so you or your contractor can purchase directly. This keeps the process transparent and means our recommendations are never influenced by what we sell. That said, we have established relationships with trusted vendors across tile, cabinetry, countertops, hardware, lighting, and plumbing fixtures and we are always happy to connect you with the right people. Our sourcing guide includes direct vendor recommendations so you know exactly where to shop with confidence.

Not at all. Many clients working on Pennsylvania kitchen renovations and bathroom remodels come to us before they have hired anyone. Our kitchen and bathroom design packages actually make the contractor conversation easier. You will have a clear design vision, a complete material selections document, and a full sourcing guide to share from day one, which saves time, reduces back and forth during the build, and helps your contractor understand exactly what you want before work begins.

Absolutely. Our Virtual Design package is fully remote and we work with clients anywhere in the country. You provide photos, measurements, and a set of plans and we handle everything else. Distance is no obstacle when the vision is clear, and delivering beautiful, intentional kitchen and bath design to clients wherever they are is something we do and something we love. No matter where you are, you will receive the same level of care, craft, and detail that goes into every Patina Kitchen Design Co project.

Most kitchen design projects are completed within 2–3 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the space and how quickly feedback is provided during revisions. The timeline begins after your initial consultation and, for local projects, the in-home field measure. Virtual projects begin once we receive your completed measurements, photos, and project information. Your package includes two rounds of revisions, and we’ll keep you informed throughout the process so you know exactly what to expect and when. All timelines assume prompt client feedback during revision rounds. The faster you respond, the faster your completed kitchen design lands in your inbox!

Patina Kitchen Design Co is a design consultation studio, not a full service interior design firm. That distinction matters. When you work with a full service designer you are often paying for overhead, project management fees, and product markups that can add significantly to your renovation budget. With Patina Design Co you get expert kitchen and bath design direction, a curated material selections document, and a complete design roadmap without any of that added cost. For homeowners across Central Pennsylvania and beyond who already have a contractor and just need the design vision nailed down, our model is faster, more transparent, and more affordable than a traditional full service engagement. You stay in control of your budget and your purchasing while we bring the expertise, the eye, and the intentional design thinking that turns a renovation into something you will love for the next forty years.

Yes. Patina Design Co works with clients on both new construction projects and existing home renovations. New construction is actually an ideal time to bring in a design consultant because material decisions happen early and the choices you make at that stage shape everything that follows. Our Multi Room Design package is particularly well suited for new builds where multiple spaces need to feel cohesive from the start.

Yes. Our portfolio features completed kitchen and bathroom renovation projects across Central Pennsylvania including a Coal Region rowhome kitchen renovation in Shamokin, a full farmhouse kitchen and bath renovation in Northumberland County, and Steep Mountain Sanctuary, a hand-built tiny home designed and constructed entirely by our founder. Each project page includes the full design story, material selections, and finished photography.
